Now that I have your attention, let me tell you the truth. There’s no pill that would make you lose weight and remain slim and fit. Sorry to break it to you, there’s no ‘best weight loss pills or drugs’ nor magic pill to make you lose weight.
However, there’s a way you can eat without starving yourself and get tremendous weight loss. Not just weight loss, lose excess body fat. And the best part is you maintain the weight loss. Let’s call this way ‘the cutting edge best weight loss pill’.
Don’t Be Naive.
A lot of people aren’t ready to commit to the change needed to get their diet and lifestyle right. As a result, they are looking for that blue pill or a magic wand to wave for all the excess body fat to disappear. Searching all over the internet for the slimming tea that would give them a flat tummy. Unfortunately, there isn’t and there never would be at least without grave side effects.
However, people are profiting from their naivety and desperation selling all sorts of pills, potions, and teas. They don’t work, yet they keep falling for them over and over. Telling themselves ‘you never know which one would work’. Let me tell you now, none will work. If any would work, it could send them to an early grave. And the idea of losing weight is not to fit into a slimmer cascket.
Most of the people selling these weight loss pills and potions are overweight or obese. If it really works, why hasn’t it worked for them? Some other vendors have never been big so we can’t use them as a judge of the efficacy. The worst are those who have had surgeries to remove excess fat and then start selling slimming teas. In the words of Aproko Doctor, they deserve to be in prison.
Don’t listen to them, they don’t have your best interest at heart. They are only interested in making money and you have shown a weakness they can exploit.
Do They Work Even If It Is Just A little:
Yes, you see a drop on the scale, it doesn’t mean you are losing weight/fat. A lot of slimming teas causes you to really purge. Your colon can hold 3-4kg or more of feaces. When you take those teas and pass all those out, of course, you’ll see a difference on the scale and may feel lighter. However, you haven’t lost fat. which is what you need to lose not feaces.
Some of them try to alter some chemicals in your brain to suppress your appetite. Why would you want to do that to yourself? Appetite is a normal physiological function to protect you from starvation. The problem is not the appetite, it is what you satisfy your appetite with. These drugs also have terrible side effects – suicidal tendencies, elevated heart rate, and blood pressure etc.
Some of them work by raising your metabolism. This causes rapid aging, elevated heart rate, and blood pressure among others.
Don’t kill yourself or bring diseases upon yourself because you want to lose weight. There’s a better way, an easier way, a healthier way. You just may not have heard of it before. I come bearing good news.
These are drugs and you can’t be taking them forever. So,once you stop taking them, the little benefit you got in terms of your weight disappears and you are back to where you started or a higher weight.
We eat about 1.5kg -2.5kg of food daily. Few milligrams of drugs cannot cancel the effect of 2kg of food.
Your focus should first be on being healthy not on weight loss. If you change to a healthy diet and lifestyle, weight loss will automatically follow.
Just like how Our Lord Jesus Christ said ‘seek ye first the kingdom of God and it’s righteousness and all these shall be added unto you.’ I’m saying to you ‘seek ye first a healthier diet and lifestyle and weight loss shall be added unto you.’
Don’t use a machine gun to kill a mosquito. You’ll damage other things in the process. What’s more important, being healthy or being slim? Please answer in the comment section let me be sure we are on the same page.
What Is A Healthy Diet:
In my post on Best Way To Lose Weight Without Going Crazy I enumerated a plan for anyone who desires to lose weight without portion control. Eating as much as is comfortable for you and still lose a tremendous amount of body fat.
However, here I’ll give a slightly different recommendation. A healthy diet is a diet comprised of:
- Vegetables – leafy and non-leafy vegetables. A wide variety of them. All colors shapes and sizes. Go for them all.
- Fruits – An assortment of different kinds of fruits.
- Whole grains – Brown/wild/black/ofada rice, Oats, Quinoa, Barley, Buckwheat, etc.
- Legumes – Beans, Peas, and Lentils.
- Nuts and Seeds – In very small amounts. one ounce of nuts or one tablespoon of flax or chia seeds daily.
- With little or no animal products – Preferably no animal products but if you must, let it be less than 10% of your diet.
The last 2, nuts and seeds and animal products are not included in the post I referenced earlier. However, having them in small quantities in your diet is not too bad. Having a little amount of nuts daily is actually very healthy.
The reason I removed nuts and seeds from the weight loss plan is that it’s very difficult for people to eat them in small quantities and they are very calorie-dense. As a result, they may frustrate your weight loss goals. Initially, you would lose weight even with them in your diet. After a while, you’ll begin to plateau even while still far from your ideal body weight. I have experienced it first hand. Weight Loss Plateau – How To Break It On a WFPB Diet
- Adequate sleep at night. 7-8 hours not starting later than 10 pm.
- Moderate exercise/movement.
- Taking Vitamin B12 supplements.
- Spending some time in the sun.
- Stress management and coping skills – Things like meditation, yoga, relaxation techniques. There are many apps you can download on google or the apple play store. A simple 5 mins breathing exercise in the morning may just be ok.
- Having healthy relationships. Get rid of toxic ones.
- Spending time with family.
- Adequate rest.
- Play, laugh, be happy.
Eating and living this way you’ll be healthier, reverse a number of health conditions and lose weight easily and healthily. I have so far lost 28kg in 8 months eating this way and I’m the better for it. However, removing the last two will make you lose weight faster and break the weight loss plateau if you are experiencing one.
If you use the plan I outlined in Best Way To Lose Weight Without Going Crazy, you won’t have to watch your portions or count calories. You’ll eat as much as is comfortable for you and lose weight. I call it ‘Eat More! Weigh Less!!’. No more searching, this is it and it works. I am a living testimony.
